A new pool is proposed within an Edwardian walled garden. Spoil from the excavation of the pool is used to create a crescent shaped mound. This provides a soft frame for the pool within the larger space of the walled garden.

The pool and pool house are positioned along the south facing wall to maximize the micro-climatic effects of the walled garden. This extends the pool’s seasonal use. The pool house also functions as a greenhouse, and steps within the house give direct access to the heated pool.
